IN LIFE'S STORM

Life is like a sea journey. Some of us travel on boats ,others on ships and yet others on cruiseliners.. But one thing is for sure..Storms,tides,depths and difficulties will definitely rock the vessel you sail in. at some point or the other.

Till we sail on calm waters we do not feel the need for help or security..But,when we are storm tossed and battered we look around for signs of land or at least a ray of hope to keep sailing..

In the midst of the storms we realise that the strength of the ship or luxury of the cruiseliner cant guarantee us a safe journey to the desired shore. The futility of the strongest and magnificent ships made by man ,like the Titanic ,that failed to reach the promised shore,brings fear and hopelessness into our minds. But for those who love and trust Jesus Christ as their Saviour have hope and security in HIS love.

The faith life of every Christian is like a sea journey to another shore ,where they we shall live with Jesus till eternity.The toil and the discipline required for the journey makes it essential that we have proper focus of our eternal destination.. To reach that shore we have to hold fast onto our faith .And for faith to grow in us we must love, study and upon meditate the Word of God.

Living in faith means that we begin to live in intimacy with Christ.

We must understand that even while we lean on Christ Jesus,storms and tides will definitely come.But,for those who trust in God they need not fear.God assures them help and protection. In the Bible we see that during HIS lifetime Jesus demonstrated HIS sovereignty and the Glory of God when the waves and winds obey His command.So,when the creator and LORD of LORDS is with us ,no harm shall come near us. IN JESUS ,we too are given the power to calm storms and waves that trouble us.. So fear no more..Take authority and speak the Word of God over your fears and situations and see Jesus work in your life.

This is an old hymn that I hum to myself when I feel discouraged . Jesus promises to sail with me through every storm.HE protects me,renews my faith and gives me HIS authority over winds ,waves ,demons and sickness.

Beyond what meets the eye ..Is it a plan to sabotage gospel work in INDIA??

Amidst controversies and media scrutiny yet another Gospel meeting took place in India.This time the venue was at Trivandrum in the State of Kerala popularly called 'God's own Country'..

Ironically God's own country houses a large number of tricksters and criminals who exploit the spiritual thirst of the keralite community.Till exposed the central character of the present controversy 'Swami Amritachaitanya aka Santhosh Madhavan',remained a calm,approachable and learned astrologer,guru and real estate dealer.It was clearly the 'act of God' that suddenly unravelled a series of criminal acts of the trickster.

Media lapped up the controveries and celebrated it for a week..adding lots of spice and heat.New tricksters ,godmen and politicians suddenly came into the limelight..thus diluting the scalding issue of the mafia and political nexus behind Santhosh Madhavan.The gory details of sexual exploitation and huge illegal transactions involving several top notches of India is slowly swept under the carpet.

Amidst all this came a hidden agenda of the Hindu extremists..just a handful of people- who play the communal card to dilute any major criminal act..The divide and rule policy of the British is here adapted to perfection .Its a proven fact that as communal discord is the trump card that can ensure a good political game.

No reference or comments were sought from any particular community..BUT the Hindu extremists viewed the exposure of few tricksters as insult to Hinduism..how did they get this idea ??

Immediately focus changes to a Bro. Thanku of Heavenly Feast Kottayam.His assets and miraculous healings are suddenly criticised.Sudden violence and oppositin reminds one of a drama staged in 2005 when Pastor Benny Hinn came to Bangalore .

But media and public pass the judgement and use derogatory comments even before the authorities confirm allegations or any valid proof recovered from the alleged group..Freedom of Speech is abused when slander and allegations are hurled across print and electronic media without the fear of any defamation procedures.

Interestingly Yuva morcha files an compliant objecting 'Spiritual healing' under The Drugs and Magic Remedies Act 1955 -an enactment which is rarely implemented anywhere in India.

This act is very clearly against giving talismans or portions but not against faith healings.Love of Christ without charity,healing and spreading of Gospel is just meaningless

Christians are deliberately excluded from the discussions.WHY??

Do these critics have a victim to prove Thanku Brother duped anyone of money or nevr really healed.Initially the thrust of Hindu extremists was against 'forced' conversions..understandable insecurity!

But if one receives or doesnt receive a healing in a gathering how does it affect anybody?.Indian law considers claims of healing objectionable only if they are against public policy,morality ,misrepresented or administered under coercion.

When the poor embrace Christianity it was labelled as 'ignorance and greed for money',when the educated and rich turn to Christ it is still magic and gimmick.Thus people across the globe are empty headed and naive ..

Indian Constitution according to the preamble is secular and as per the provisions of fundamental rights guarantees the followers the right to preach,practice and propogate and maintain trusts and funds for these purposes.If Christianity can be practiced in India why this attempt to curb propogation and missionary works?If Christianity has to be preached without converting,healing or any missionary funds..why this mock provision that Citizens of India and Christians of India have Fundamental rights to Freedom of religion and Right to Liberty.

The benefits of missionaries not going into cities,forests and slums with calamity relief ,food ,education,medical camps should be stopped according to these critics-lest people find hope and healing through prayers!!

Christians will never attack or retaliate for such attacks or harm others in the name of religion.But we will continue to pray and bless INDIA-The Country we live in..our motherland ,its governments and all the people of this land ,who need a comforting hand and word of encouragement .

FRUITFUL LIFE

Predestined to be blessed!!

Every product has a specific function and each model is an improved ,enhanced version of the previous product.

If thats the story of the man made products,how much more would God the Creator take care to assign us functions and make us better than our predecessors.Abraham,Jacob,Joseph ,David and Solomon all were called out of their comfort zones and given a promise of blessings.

But between the time God gave them seeds of a vision and they enjoyed the fruits of the vision.There was a phase of transformation/change.

God has a plan and a purpose for each of us.HE watches every move so intently that HE never sleeps or slumbers.HE guards us and nourishes us so that we may become strong and fruitful.

For a tree to bear fruit the roots need to be strong.Young roots of faith would be strong only if we go deep through dry and parched sands till we reach the rocks through which steady waters flow.Heat,winds and rains may threaten the tiny leaves ,but the tiny leaves have a hidden potential to overcome these threats.

In times of difficulties and emptiness, the rock of our faith is JESUS and the steady streams of joy and happiness is from the Holy Spirit.

And when God blesses us there is restoration,health,abundance and we become a blessing to others too.

Claim the blessings of Abraham ,Joseph ,David and Solomon daily in your prayers..for we are called to reflect HIS glory and riches .

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. —Galatians 5:22-23 Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish,

and it will be done for you. If you keep my commandments,

you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my

Father's commandments and abide in his love.
